PRIVACY POLICY

Effective March 30, 2026 · Last updated August 6, 2026

1. INTRODUCTION

Landslide Studios LLC ("we," "us," or "our") operates landslidestudios.com, app.landslidestudios.com, and the Theo Bible iOS application. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our websites, applications, and services.

By using our services, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

2. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

2.1 PERSONAL INFORMATION

Information you provide directly when using our services:

  • Name, email address, and phone number
  • Business name and business information
  • Account credentials
  • Testimonials and reviews you submit
  • Social media URLs and profile information
  • Files and documents you upload

2.2 AUTOMATIC INFORMATION

This marketing site sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser. Not a cookie, and nothing in local or session storage. It contacts no analytics company and no advertising company from your browser. It does count visits, and that counting is described in full below.

The visit counting runs on every visit. There is no banner asking you to accept or decline it, and that is deliberate rather than an omission: a banner exists to ask permission for something stored on your device, and this stores nothing on your device. A small script served from this site reports page views to a server we run ourselves at earthquake-navy.vercel.app. We built it because we wanted to know whether our own site works without handing our visitors to Google, and nothing it collects is ever sold, shared with advertisers, or used to follow you around the internet.

It uses no cookie and no identifier. To count visitors without one, the server takes your IP address and browser type and turns them into a one-way code using a secret key that changes every night at midnight UTC. A day's visitors can be counted, but the same person cannot be recognised the next day — tomorrow you are a different code, unconnected to today's. Your IP address itself is never stored — it is used for that one calculation and discarded, and there is no field for it in the database.

What gets recorded is the page address you are on (with the query string and anything that looks like an id or an email address removed first), the plain name of the site that sent you here if there was one, your screen width, and a two-letter country code. It counts four things people do: viewing a page, tapping the phone number, clicking an email link, and sending the contact form. For the form it records only that it was sent — never a word of what you typed. Individual records are deleted after 90 days; only daily totals for the site are kept after that.

This is measured, not assumed. The live site is loaded in a clean browser and every cookie, stored value and outbound request is enumerated before a claim on this page is allowed to stand. Last checked 9 August 2026, after the counter above was installed: zero cookies, local and session storage both empty, and exactly one request leaving this site's own domain — the count itself, to our own server.

Until 6 August 2026 this site also showed a cookie notice, and the answer to it was the one thing kept in your browser. With no cookies the notice asked your permission for nothing, so it was removed and its stored answer went with it. It has not come back, because the counting described above still puts nothing on your device.

Vercel Web Analytics used to be named here and in the cookie notice. It was measured not to be running on this site, and the component was removed from the code on 6 August 2026 so that the page and the site cannot drift apart again.

The Landslide Leads application at app.landslidestudios.com is different, and section 2.3 below covers it. It uses PostHog, which after you accept its cookie notice stores an identifier for about a year and records your session for replay. Its own privacy policy, at app.landslidestudios.com/privacy, describes that in full and governs your use of the product.

Like every website, this one is served by a host. Vercel handles the request and keeps its own short-term server logs, which include the IP address the request came from. We do not read those logs except to debug a broken deployment and we copy nothing out of them.

The Theo Bible app does not collect personal information from minors. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13, please contact us immediately.

11. COOKIES

This site, landslidestudios.com, sets no cookies at all. Not essential ones, not analytics ones, not preference ones. Zero cookies were present in a clean browser after loading it on 6 August 2026, and local and session storage were both empty. Nothing whatsoever is stored in your browser by this site — see section 2.2 for the cookie notice that used to be the one exception, and was removed.

The Landslide Leads app at app.landslidestudios.com does use cookies. An authentication cookie once you are signed in, and, if you accept its cookie notice, a PostHog cookie holding a device and visitor ID that lasts about a year. Declining leaves nothing stored. See that app's own privacy policy for the full list.

We do not use advertising cookies, retargeting pixels, or third-party ad tracking on either property.

12. SECURITY

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including:

  • HTTPS encryption on all connections
  • CSRF protection on all forms
  • Input sanitization and validation
  • Supabase authentication with row-level security
  • File upload validation and type checking
  • Security headers (CSP, HSTS, X-Frame-Options)
  • Rate limiting on API endpoints

13. IOS APP PRIVACY

The Theo Bible app collects minimal data. It does not require account creation, does not share personal data with third parties beyond standard Apple analytics, and stores preferences locally on your device.

14. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email and post a notice on our website. The effective date at the top of this page will be updated accordingly.
